Product Overview
Langbeinite (K₂Mg₂(SO₄)₃), marketed as K-Mag, is a naturally mined mineral delivering 22% K₂O, 11% MgO, and 22% S in a single granule. Unlike manufactured blends, every particle contains all three nutrients in a fixed crystallographic ratio, ensuring perfectly uniform distribution. Dongkwang Poland sources langbeinite from established deposits, providing European and global agricultural markets with an organic-approved, chloride-free potassium-magnesium-sulphur fertilizer.
How Langbeinite (K-Mag) Works
Langbeinite dissolves moderately in soil solution, releasing K⁺, Mg²⁺, and SO₄²⁻ ions over 3-5 weeks. The co-crystallised structure prevents nutrient segregation during handling and application. Magnesium is essential for chlorophyll function (without Mg, photosynthesis cannot occur), while sulphur is required for amino acid synthesis and oil/protein formation. The balanced K-Mg supply prevents the antagonism that occurs when these nutrients are applied from separate sources.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Apply 150-350 kg/ha as basal dressing. For potatoes: 250-300 kg/ha at planting. For alfalfa: 200 kg/ha after each cut. For oilseed crops: 300 kg/ha pre-sowing. For fruit trees: 150-250 kg/ha annually in early spring. Can be blended with urea, DAP, or other NPK products without segregation risk. Compatible with standard spreading equipment.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Store in dry conditions under cover. Non-hazardous for transport and handling. Very low hygroscopicity — excellent storage stability. Shelf life: 36 months. Hard granules resist breakage during handling and blending.
