Mono-Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) with 12-61-0 analysis delivers the highest phosphorus concentration of any commercial fertilizer — 61% P₂O₅ in a fully water-soluble granular or powder form. The acidic reaction (pH 4.5) makes MAP the preferred phosphorus source for alkaline soils, fertigation systems, and fire retardant applications. Technical grade MAP dissolves 100% in water without residue, passing through the finest drip emitters and spray nozzles. How Mono-Ammonium Phosphate (MAP) Works
MAP dissolves in soil moisture to release ammonium (NH₄⁺) and phosphate (H₂PO₄⁻) ions. Unlike DAP, MAP creates an acidic microsite (pH 4-5) around each granule — highly advantageous in alkaline soils (pH >7.5) where it temporarily acidifies the root zone, mobilizing fixed phosphorus and micronutrients (Fe, Zn, Mn). The 61% P₂O₅ concentration means less product is needed per hectare than any other P source. The 100% water-soluble technical grade dissolves completely, making it the phosphorus source of choice for precision fertigation in greenhouse and drip-irrigated production.

Soil application (agricultural grade): apply 80-200 kg/ha as a basal dressing. Fertigation (technical grade): dissolve 100-200g/L, inject at 2-5 L/ha per irrigation cycle for phosphorus supplementation. Foliar (technical grade): dissolve 5-10 g/L, apply during early growth for P boost. NPK blending: use as primary P source in compound fertilizer manufacturing. Store in dry conditions. Slightly acidic — avoid contact with alkaline materials. Technical grade powder is hygroscopic — keep sealed. Shelf life: 24 months (granular), 18 months (powder). Dissolve in clean water before mixing with calcium-based products to prevent precipitation.
