Product Overview
AdBlue (also known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid / DEF) is a high-purity 32.5% aqueous urea solution used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel engines by up to 90%. Manufactured by Dongkwang Poland to ISO 22241 and DIN 70070 standards, our AdBlue meets the strictest automotive and industrial quality requirements. As Euro 6/VI emission standards become mandatory across Europe, Africa, and Asia, demand for compliant AdBlue has surged — and Dongkwang Poland is positioned as a reliable bulk supplier to fleet operators, fuel distributors, truck stops, and AdBlue repackaging facilities across 30+ countries.
How AdBlue / DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) Works
AdBlue is injected into the exhaust stream of SCR-equipped diesel engines, where it decomposes into ammonia (NH₃) and CO₂ at exhaust temperatures (200-600°C). The ammonia reacts with NOx on the SCR catalyst surface, converting harmful nitrogen oxides into harmless nitrogen (N₂) and water (H₂O). The precise 32.5% urea concentration is critical — it matches the eutectic point that prevents crystallization at -11°C while maximizing SCR efficiency. Even minor contamination (metal ions, biuret) can permanently damage SCR catalysts, which is why automotive-grade purity is essential.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
AdBlue consumption is approximately 3-5% of diesel fuel consumption. For a truck consuming 30L diesel/100km, expect 1-1.5L AdBlue/100km. Store in dedicated AdBlue tanks (stainless steel, HDPE) away from direct sunlight. Operating temperature range: -11°C to 30°C. Do not mix with water or other fluids. Use only dedicated AdBlue dispensing equipment to prevent cross-contamination. Shelf life is 12 months at temperatures below 25°C.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Store in original sealed containers in a cool, shaded area (5-25°C). Avoid metal containers (use HDPE or stainless steel only) as metal ions contaminate the solution and damage SCR catalysts. Protect from direct sunlight and freezing. If frozen, AdBlue can be thawed and used without quality loss. Shelf life: 12 months at <25°C, 6 months at 25-35°C. Do not mix with other fluids.
