Product Overview
Urea Technical Grade is a high-purity nitrogen compound (46% N, <0.8% biuret) produced for industrial applications beyond agriculture. Dongkwang Poland supplies technical-grade urea to diverse industries including resin and adhesive manufacturing (urea-formaldehyde resins), animal feed supplementation (non-protein nitrogen for ruminants), de-icing and road maintenance, pharmaceutical intermediates, and textile processing. Our technical-grade product meets stricter purity standards than agricultural urea, with controlled biuret, moisture, and particle size distribution tailored to industrial processing requirements.
How Urea Technical Grade Works
Urea (CO(NH₂)₂) is the diamide of carbonic acid, containing 46.6% nitrogen — the highest N concentration of any solid nitrogenous compound. In industrial applications, urea serves as a reactive nitrogen source: in resin production, it condenses with formaldehyde to form cross-linked methylene bridges creating durable adhesives. In animal feed, rumen microbes convert urea nitrogen to microbial protein. In de-icing, urea lowers the freezing point of water without the corrosive effects of chloride salts.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Resin manufacturing: use as-received; store away from moisture. Animal feed: blend at 1-2% of total ration dry matter for ruminants only (toxic to monogastrics). De-icing: apply 100-200 g/m² on runways and roads at temperatures above -7°C. Textile processing: use in exhaust dyeing baths as a swelling agent. Always verify suitability for specific industrial applications with our technical support team.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Store in dry, cool conditions (<30°C) in original sealed bags. Urea is hygroscopic — exposure to humidity causes caking and reduced quality. Stack pallets maximum 3 high on dry floor. Keep away from strong acids and oxidizing agents. Shelf life: 24 months in sealed packaging.
