How UAN Solution 32% Works
UAN-32 works through sequential nitrogen release. Nitrate-N is immediately plant-available for rapid uptake within hours. Ammonium-N adsorbs to soil cation exchange sites and converts to nitrate via nitrification over 1-3 weeks. Urea-N undergoes hydrolysis by soil urease to ammonium, then nitrification to nitrate over 2-6 weeks. This staggered release matches crop nitrogen demand curves, reducing the feast-famine cycles common with single-source nitrogen applications.

Application Guide
Apply 200-400 L/ha depending on crop nitrogen requirements. For wheat: 300 L/ha split between GS25 (tillering) and GS31 (stem elongation). For maize: 350 L/ha at V4-V6 via dribble bar or injection. For fertigation: dilute to 5-10% concentration and apply through drip systems at 20-50 L/ha/week. UAN can also be used as a carrier for herbicides (e.g., glyphosate) to improve efficacy. Avoid foliar application at concentrations >10% to prevent leaf scorch.
