Product Overview
Calcium Boron Liquid Fertilizer (15% CaO + 0.5% B) is a specialized foliar and drip-compatible formulation for preventing the most commercially devastating quality disorders in fruit and vegetable production: blossom end rot (tomato, pepper), bitter pit (apple), tip burn (lettuce), and hollow stem (brassicas). The synergistic Ca-B combination addresses two interconnected nutritional needs: calcium for cell wall structural integrity and boron for calcium transport within the plant. Available as a suspension concentrate that passes through standard foliar spray nozzles and drip emitters.
How Calcium Boron Liquid Fertilizer Works
Calcium strengthens cell walls by cross-linking pectin molecules as calcium pectate — creating rigid, damage-resistant cells. Boron facilitates calcium transport in the phloem and helps deposit Ca into actively growing tissues (fruit, leaf tips, meristems) where transpiration-driven xylem flow is weakest. This is why calcium disorders appear in low-transpiration tissues (fruit, heart leaves) despite adequate calcium in the soil — the plant simply cannot move enough Ca to these tissues without adequate boron. Our Ca-B synergy addresses both supply (Ca) and transport (B) simultaneously.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Foliar spray: dilute 3-5 mL/L, apply every 7-10 days during rapid fruit/tissue expansion. Drip: apply 5-10 L/ha per irrigation cycle during critical periods. Tomato: begin at first truss set, continue through fruit sizing. Apple: apply from petal fall through June drop. Lettuce: apply from frame leaf expansion through heading. Apply in early morning or late afternoon when humidity is higher for better foliar absorption. 3-5 applications minimum during the susceptible growth window.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Shake well before use (suspension concentrate). Store at 5-35°C. Avoid freezing. Shelf life: 24 months. Slightly alkaline — compatible with most spray solutions but conduct jar test with acid-based products before tank mixing.
Why Choose Dongkwang Poland?
Most calcium foliar products contain either Ca or B but not both. Our synergistic formulation addresses the root cause of calcium disorders: insufficient Ca PLUS insufficient B to transport it. This dual-action approach is more effective than calcium-only sprays that fail because boron deficiency limits Ca redistribution.
