Product Overview
Rhizobium Inoculant is a premium biological nitrogen fixation product containing high concentrations of Rhizobium leguminosarum (for temperate legumes) and Bradyrhizobium japonicum (for soybean) at ≥1×10⁹ CFU/g. These bacteria form symbiotic root nodules on legume crops, converting atmospheric nitrogen (N₂) into plant-available ammonium — naturally providing 50-300 kg N/ha depending on the legume species. Dongkwang Poland supplies carrier-based and liquid Rhizobium inoculants to agricultural distributors, seed companies, and farming cooperatives worldwide, supporting the global transition toward biological nitrogen management.
How Rhizobium Inoculant Works
Rhizobium bacteria colonize legume root hairs through a sophisticated molecular dialogue involving plant-derived flavonoids and bacterial Nod factors. Once inside the root, bacteria differentiate into nitrogen-fixing bacteroids within specialized root nodules. The enzyme nitrogenase converts atmospheric N₂ to NH₃ (ammonia), which the plant converts to amino acids for protein synthesis. In exchange, the plant supplies the bacteroids with carbon (photosynthate) as an energy source. A well-nodulated soybean crop can fix 150-300 kg N/ha — equivalent to 325-650 kg of urea worth €100-210 per hectare.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Seed inoculation: apply 200g peat-based inoculant per 50kg seed, mix thoroughly in shade before planting. Liquid inoculant: apply 200-500 mL per hectare of seed at planting. Soil application: apply 2-5 kg/ha in-furrow for fields with no history of the target legume. Best results when applied to seeds within 24 hours of planting. Avoid exposing inoculant to direct sunlight, high temperatures, or fungicide-treated seeds (use compatible formulations). Re-inoculation recommended when introducing new legume species or after >3 years without legume rotation.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Store in cool, dark conditions (4-15°C). Avoid freezing, direct sunlight, and temperatures above 30°C. Peat-based inoculants: maintain moisture — do not allow to dry out. Liquid inoculants: shake before use. Shelf life: 12 months refrigerated (4°C), 6 months at ambient (<25°C). Check expiry date before use — viability decreases over time.
Why Choose Dongkwang Poland?
Dongkwang Poland’s Rhizobium inoculants are produced using verified high-performance strains with documented nitrogen fixation rates in field trials. Every batch undergoes plate counting to verify CFU concentration and purity testing to ensure absence of contaminant organisms. We provide strain-specific inoculants matched to your legume species for maximum compatibility.
