Product Overview
Phosphorus-Rich NPK 10-20-10 delivers elevated phosphorus for strong root systems and rapid early establishment. Phosphorus is the most immobile macronutrient in soil — once applied, it stays in the root zone where plants need it most. This makes basal phosphorus application at planting the single most important fertilization decision of the growing season. Dongkwang Poland’s 10-20-10 provides highly available P₂O₅ combined with supporting nitrogen and potassium for complete early-stage nutrition. Essential for transplanted crops, legumes, root vegetables, and any situation where rapid root development determines yield potential.
How Phosphorus-Rich NPK 10-20-10 Works
Phosphorus in this formulation is present as water-soluble and citrate-soluble forms, ensuring both immediate availability and a reserve pool that sustains feeding as roots expand. P₂O₅ drives ATP production — the energy currency of all cellular processes — and is a structural component of DNA, RNA, and cell membranes. Root tips are the primary site of phosphorus uptake; the 20% P₂O₅ content ensures the surrounding soil solution maintains optimal phosphorus concentration (0.2-0.3 ppm) even in high-fixing soils. The nitrogen component (10% N) supports early leaf development for photosynthetic capacity, while potassium (10% K₂O) strengthens emerging root cell walls.
Key Benefits
Application Guide
Apply 300-500 kg/ha as a basal dressing incorporated into the top 10-15cm of soil at planting. For transplanted crops (tomato, pepper, cabbage): place 200 kg/ha in the planting furrow for direct root contact. For legumes (soybean, groundnut): apply 250-350 kg/ha at sowing to promote nodulation. For root vegetables (carrot, potato, onion): apply 400-500 kg/ha pre-plant. Phosphorus is most effective when placed near the seed or root zone — broadcast application is less efficient in high-pH or high-calcium soils where P fixation occurs rapidly.
Ideal For
Storage & Handling
Store in dry conditions on pallets in a covered warehouse. Phosphate fertilizers are relatively stable and non-hygroscopic compared to nitrogen products. Shelf life: 36 months in original sealed packaging. Avoid storing with alkaline materials (lime) that can reduce phosphorus solubility. Standard PPE for handling.
Why Choose Dongkwang Poland?
Our 10-20-10 is formulated using high-quality phosphate rock that undergoes acidulation to maximize water-soluble P₂O₅ content — ensuring your crops get phosphorus when they need it most. Unlike physical blends where DAP and MOP granules segregate during transport, our compound granules deliver the exact 10-20-10 ratio in every application pass.
